A Natural Haven
Crested Butte Botanic Gardens will provide visitors an adventure of the senses in a magical world filled with plants and flowers. We will showcase a variety of specialist plant collections and offer guided tours, educational programming, and science seminars. We will engage the community in ongoing research projects and collaborate with research being conducted throughout the Rocky Mountains.

Meri Wallace
Co-Founder
Meri Wallace (she/her) Is a horticulturist specializing in urban horticulture and sustainable landscape design. Meri has 25 years of experience designing, installing and maintaining gardens in the public and private sector. She is passionate about preserving and protecting our fragile high altitude ecosystems, as well as the conservation of our natural resources

Amy Honan, Ph.D.
Co-Founder
Amy Honan (she/her) is a mycologist and science educator. She has 20 years experiencing in mycological research and teaching science. She has served as the Chief Mycologist for the annual foray for the North American Mycological Association. She has accessioned over 500 mushroom collections into the Crested Butte Botanic Garden fungarium.
